Guidelines on EU Publicity Requirements

The EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation aims to "reinforce progress towards a peaceful and stable society and to promote reconciliation".

In recognition of the need to support the peace process in Northern Ireland, the European Council meeting in Berlin in March 1999 decided to continue the 1995 - 1999 PEACE Programme for a further five years (2000 - 2004) with an allocation of over €500 million from the Structural Funds.

We have put to together the following Guidelines in relation to publicising the appropriate funding bodies involved. The following sections further on down this page can be accessed using the following links:

Publicity and the logo guidelines

All information activities related to Structural Funds Programmes must give due prominence to the EU role.

The European flag and explicit mention of the European Union must be used whenever information about the PEACE II Programme or its projects is being given to potential beneficiaries or the general public.

Where possible, it is preferable for the PEACE Programme logo and the European emblem to appear close to one another. The European emblem and the logo should be of similar size to other logos used i.e. your own organisation logo.

Project Promoters must ensure that the EU Flag, Peace II logo and Fermanagh LSP logo appear on all publicity material in connection with the project. To accompany these logos the following wording must be used:

"This project has been supported by Fermanagh Local Strategy Partnership through Measure (insert the appropriate measure either 3.1 or 3.2) of the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (PEACE II)."

If you are unsure of what Measure your funding has been secured from please contact the Fermanagh LSP office.

PEACE II logos Regulation on colours and fonts

The PEACE II logo is in the following colours:

PANTONE REFLEX BLUE for the background
PANTONE YELLOW for the stars

Four-colour process:

If the four-colour process is used, it is not possible to use the two standard colours.

It is therefore necessary to recreate them by using the four colours of the four-colour process. The PANTONE YELLOW is obtained by using 100% "Process Yellow".

By mixing 100% "Process Cyan" and 80% "Process Magenta" one can get a colour very similar to the PANTONE REFLEX BLUE.

Internet:

PANTONE REFLEX BLUE corresponds to the web-palette colour RGB: 0/0/153 (hexadecimal: 000099) and PANTONE YELLOW corresponds to the web-palette colour RGB : 255/204/0 (hexadecimal: FFCC00).

Fonts of the logo text:

The font used for the main title is Frutiger 87 Extra Black Condensed, condensed at 85%. Subtitles and baselines are in Frutiger 67 Bold Condensed, condensed at 80%.

Reproduction on coloured background:

To keep the contrast with the coloured background, use the logo with the white border. The text should also appear in a lighter colour (white preferably).

Appropriate wording and logos to be used on all publicity material:

The project has been supported by Fermanagh Local Strategy Partnership under the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation Measure (insert the appropriate measure either 3.1 or 3.2).
