Encouraging Creativity Amongst Young People

The Encouraging Creativity Programme was designed by Fermanagh LSP to help to promote creativity amongst young people in the Fermanagh area. The Partnership's perception is that by encouraging creativity among young people they can help to strengthen and rejuvenate local communities by building confidence and trust and creating an understanding and acceptance of differing cultural traditions. This can be achieved through many different mediums including that of static and performing arts. Through involvement in the arts, the Partnership hoped to provide a vehicle that will enable young people to work together thus helping to create change.

It was hoped by encouraging creativity amongst young people it would help to build their self confidence and trust thus in the long-term create an environment where young people are more understanding and have an acceptance of differing cultural traditions within the area.

The areas covered may have included drama / art / music and could have concentrated on one or a number of relevant areas that would have encouraged creativity amongst young people.
